In 2020, Leticia arrived in El Valle as a volunteer and quickly fell in love with the land, the people, and the rhythm of life. What started as a temporary experience became a long-term vision: to one day create a home and a space that reflected everything El Valle had given her.
After returning to Europe, Leticia worked tirelessly to make that dream possible. During that time, she met Adrian — now her fiancé and business partner — and together they envisioned building a life in the Dominican Republic. With shared values and a love for nature, they decided to take the leap.
They invited Leticia’s closest friends, Dorka and Levi from Hungary, to join the project. With extensive experience in construction and property management — including more than 30 homes built and managed across Hungary — the team brought together creativity, expertise, and determination.
Building in the Dominican Republic came with challenges: logistics, climate, and learning to adapt to a different way of doing things. But step by step, Casa Caona took shape.
Today, Casa Caona stands as a reflection of collaboration, perseverance, and love — a place designed to welcome guests from around the world into a space that feels both grounding and inspiring.
